You will receive videos of users using your website for the very first time. Testers record their screen using our web-based recording software. This allows you to see all of their mouse movements, clicks, and pages viewed. Our testers also voice their feedback so you can listen to their thought process as they navigate your website.

Watching someone use your website can be an eye-opening experience. Often times when we look at our own web projects for so long things just make sense to us. We assume when we show it to others it will make sense to them too. This is rarely the case! It is important to show your site to others as often as possible. What makes sense to you might not to a user who has never visited your site before. There is no better way to see this for yourself than to watch a video of somebody using your website (via BetaPunch) as if you are looking over their shoulder.

Yes. You can sign up and receive 1 free user test for your website. When the video has been uploaded by our tester you will get an email notifying you it's ready to be viewed.

You can expect to receive your first feedback video from one of our testers within 1-2 hours of ordering. If you order multiple tests you might not want to receive feedback all at once. So you have the option of manually disabling your screen recorder (from your control panel page) to pause feedback while you make improvements to your website. Simply enable your recorder when you are ready to start receiving feedback again.

Of course. When you sign up your startup on BetaPunch you are taken to your control panel page. From this page you can type up specifically what you want testers to do and what areas you want them to focus on when reviewing your website. We show this information to testers before they start their video so you get the results you desire.

Yes. After signing in to your account, simply click the button that says "Demographics." A menu will pop out that allows you to tell our system who you want to test your website. You will be able to choose: Gender, Age, Location, and Tech Experience.

We send you an email notifying you to log in to BetaPunch every time a tester uploads a video. All of your feedback is safely held within your control panel for you to view whenever you like.

Yes. We encourage this. We want to know how our testers are performing. Next to each video is the option to rate the tester on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the highest score. Please take a moment to issue a rating to your tester after you have viewed your video. You can also send them a message to thank them or respond to any of the feedback they provided.

For clients who have signed up for a free user test your video will be accessible to you for at least 30 days. After that time your video may be deleted from your account. For clients who have purchased testers from us, your videos will be accessible to you for at least 60 days. After that time your video may be deleted from your account. Unfortunately at this time we do not have a way for you to download your tester videos.

Enter your email in the form that says "Start getting paid to test websites on BetaPunch." This will create a tester account for you and automatically sign you in to your control panel. Be sure to use the same email address when you test a website so the user tests you complete will all be linked to your account. There is NO PASSWORD associated with your tester account so don't try to sign in via the header of the website. No passwords are required for testers because even if somebody knew your email address all they could do is see what websites you tested.

No. Our BetaPunch screen recorder is completely web based. We give you a unique link to click that launches a screen recorder that is specific to the website you are asked to test. The only requirement to get the recorder to launch is have Java enabled in your browser. If you are using a Mac and are having trouble getting the screen recorder to load, you can watch this video for a solution. In some cases, you might have to click the recorder link a couple times before it fully launches. The screen recorder works best on Windows computers.

Yes. We require all new testers to complete and upload a sample review for a website we specify as a part of the tester initiation process. We do this to ensure that you are capable of providing quality feedback for websites that pay for our services. We don't want to send them lousy testers. After you complete and upload your sample test it will be reviewed within 24 hours and we will let you know if it has been accepted or denied. If we accept you then you will immediately gain access to view all available tests.

Yes! You are paid based off of the quality of your feedback. The owners of the websites you review rate the quality of your feedback on a scale of 1-5 points. Each point you earn is worth $1.00 dollar. So if you receive a 5 point rating that will earn you $5.00 credited to your tester control panel. All payments are made to testers via pay pal and you must have a minimum of $15.00 accumulated before you can request a cash out.

By navigating to the "For Testers" page, you can sign in via the email address you test with to view your ratings, earnings, and request a cash out. Upon signing in as a tester you will also be able to see all websites that are currently available for testing in a newsfeed type format.

If a website says "Recorder Disabled" it means they have disabled their recorder so they can make updates to their website. They will enable it again when they are ready to receive more feedback so check back regularly.

Once you request a cash out we automatically send an email to you confirming that we have received your request. We ask that you respond to that email letting us know what your pay pal email address is as it could be different from the email you test websites with. We will issue payment to you within 24 hours of you confirming your pay pal email address.

We would like you to be as honest as possible about your feelings towards a given website you test. Please use their website as if you were a regular user who stumbled across their site on your own. Figure out what makes sense to you and what doesn't. And be sure to VOICE your opinions as you navigate the site. Feel free to offer suggestions as to how you think they could improve or make things more clear. Try to make your tests at least 10 minutes but keep in mind you can record up to 15 minutes.
